Elizabeth Gilbert muses on the impossible things we expect from artists and geniuses -- and shares the radical idea that, instead of the rare person "being" a genius, all of us "have" a genius. It's a funny, personal and surprisingly moving talk.
The acceptance that all we are, all we achieve, all we ever will be is far beyond what we ourselves create, dream, or conceive is a most edifying thought. It matters not what you call it...luck, kismet, divine intervention, or even destiny. So do not be daunted, or afraid, or harassed by thoughts of failure. Continue to show up in all aspects of your life. Like Elizabeth Gilbert says, let the record reflect that you showed up for your part, and that you played your role. | Ndombi Osolika |
