We need to confront in ourselves everything that we project on 'others'. Greed, stupidity, anger, bias, laziness. It is only from recognizing our faults that we can grow out of them. We cannot become compassionate from repeating that 'I am compassionate' every day, nor can we cultivate kindness from the belief that we should.
